1. The short version

  • You can cancel a paid level. It stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and then your account returns to the free Starter level.
  • Credits you bought in a pack stay until they expire, 12 months after you bought them.
  • Your saved data in your browser is never affected by canceling.
  • If you are a consumer, you have the legal right of withdrawal described in section 5.

2. How to cancel a paid level

  1. Open the Account page and sign in.
  2. Choose Manage billing. This opens Stripe's billing page for your account.
  3. Cancel the subscription there.

You can also write to support@dataattendant.com from the address of your account, and we will cancel it for you.

3. What happens when a paid level ends

  • Until the end of the period: your level and its allowance stay as they are.
  • At the end of the period: your account returns to the Starter level, with its own monthly allowance. Credits left from the paid level's allowance end with the period.
  • Packs: credits you bought in a pack are not affected. They stay until they expire, 12 months after you bought them.
  • Your saved data: your types, rule sets, plans, lists, history, and Protection keys stay in your browser. Opening, preview, and restore keep working on every level.
  • Planned server storage of definitions: this is not available yet. When it is, definitions you stored on our server will be deleted 30 days after your account is closed.

If a renewal payment fails, your paid level stays for up to 7 days after the period ended, without a new allowance. Then the account returns to Starter.

4. Refunds

We do not refund a period that has started, or credits that have been used, except where the law gives you a refund. This includes the right of withdrawal in section 5, and the rights you have when the Service is faulty or not supplied.

We may close your account for a reason other than your misuse of the Service. Misuse includes a breach of our terms of service or our acceptable use policy. We then refund the credits left in your packs, at the price you paid for each credit.

If we close your account because of misuse or such a breach, the unused credits are not refunded, except where the law requires a refund.

A refund goes back to the payment method you used, through Stripe. A refund of a pack also removes its credits from your account.

5. The right of withdrawal for consumers

5.1 The right

If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from a purchase made online within 14 days, without giving a reason. The 14 days start on the day of the purchase: the day you start a paid level, or the day you buy a pack.

A paid level and a pack of credits are both the supply of a service: the use of DataAttendant through our server.

5.2 If you ask us to start at once

We start the Service within the 14 days only if you ask us to. Before it starts, we need two things from you:

  • your express request that the Service start at once;
  • your confirmation that you know you lose the right of withdrawal once the Service has been fully provided.

If you gave both and then withdraw within the 14 days, you pay for what was provided until you told us. For a paid level, that is the share of the period that had passed. For a pack, that is the share of its credits that you had used. We refund the rest.

Once the Service has been fully provided, for example when every credit of a pack is used, you can no longer withdraw from it.

5.3 How to withdraw

Tell us within the 14 days, with a clear statement that you withdraw. Write to support@dataattendant.com, or to the address in our terms of service. You may use the form below, but you do not have to.

We refund what you paid, less any amount under section 5.2, within 14 days of receiving your statement. The refund goes to the payment method you used, at no cost to you. When you withdraw, the paid level or the pack ends, and its unused credits are removed.

5.4 The withdrawal form

Fill in and send this only if you wish to withdraw:
